Evaluation
CAA ICON joined forces with AEG Facilities and ISG to prepare a detailed study evaluating alternative options and recommendations concerning the development of Futbol Club Barcelona’s (FCB) future sports venues. As part of this initial study, the team evaluated FCB’s existing venues Camp Nou and Palau Blaugrana and explored several new stadium options. Seating inventory, construction schedule, potential risks, and indicative project costs to anticipate the practical, commercial, and financial feasibility were analyzed for each scenario.
Additional Work
Following Phase 1, CAA ICON was commissioned in coordination with BCA & MBA to lead a much more detailed study evaluating cost implications of Nou Camp Nou (ENEA) and constructing a new stadium, palau, and mixed-use development at an alternative property. This work was concluded in early December 2013 and presented to FCB’s Board of Directors.
