Description: 9,500-seat sports / entertainment arena Team: Ontario Reign Owner: City of Ontario, CA Operator: AEG Architect: Rossetti Architects CM: Turner Construction Budget: $130,000,000 Status: Completed - October 15, 2008

Ontario, California is in the heart of the Inland Empire 35 miles east of Los Angeles. With a current population of 3.2 million and an anticipated population explosion of 1.8 million new residents by 2020, Greater Ontario is comparable in size to many Major League sports cities and was in need of a its own sports and entertainment venue. ICON was hired by the City of Ontario to build an arena that would put Ontario on the radar for future NBA and NHL expansion. California public procurement laws required the City to hold all subcontracts prompting ICON to administer and close out 55 separate contracts. The Construction Manager served only in an agency role, so the City and ICON took on an extensive risk management position ultimately guiding the project to an on schedule and on budget completion.

AEG’s business relies upon having world wide and world class entertainment venues. ICON is our exclusive resource and we count on them to deliver our expanding arena and stadium portfolio. We wouldn’t do a project without them.
